Schedule page has been updated through the end of the season, finally. Sorry I've fallen behind in doing this, I have a few more pictures I need to upload and link to as well. Also I'm not sure if any of you are actually reading this, but if so I'd like to get the rest of the pages taken care of,
including the "About Us" and individual player pages I haven't worked on yet. Please talk to me about it if you're interested, this will also be how I figure out if anyone is checking this site.
We're all glad to hear the news about the rink staying open. If you haven't heard, here's the email from Southern Ice:
We have received numerous questions regarding when a new facility will be built. The current status on this is that the current building
will remain as is for at least the next two years with the ice remaining intact and all our programs intact. An addition will be built at some point
on the side of the existing facility to house the basketball courts etc. Please know that if we receive information that directly affects our programs
we will in turn pass it along to you. We look forward to seeing you on the ice!
Once again the Yankees have started their dominance on the ice, after a slow start. The last three seasons we've seen the same pattern, the only difference being with SIX players out with injury last year we came
up a bit short. This season it will be different, take care of those aches, pains, pulls and strains...and plan to be in town during PLAYOFF WEEKND when we bring back home the "Yankees Cup".
(09/10/2007)Fall/Winter season started yesterday, check the schedule page for times and opponents. While the summer is mainly for fun, this is the REAL season. We've got more on the line this time around, since this is the first time in
three years we haven't had to defend the Yankees Cup. Seems like we've got a few people out for the first couple of games, but it's not how you start...it's how you finish.
Also please notice the Playoff Weekend is April 4, 5 and 6th...so if you're scheduling vacation (Duncan), schedule it AFTER that weekend.
(04/22/2007) Spring Season starts today, check the schedule page for times and opponents. Although it isn't rocket science to put a schedule together,
we are scheduled to play the Ice Monsters three times this session and we don't play TEAM BEER at all. This from the geniuses that
felt having playoff games three nights in a row was a good idea.
Scott Greig Traded: Scottie accepted a position with his company in New Jersey, meaning he will be relocating sometime this summer.
We will remember Scottie for many things, but tops will always be his effort during last seasons playoffs with a torn groin. He has assured
me there will be a 'going away' event sometime soon.
(01/31/2007) Welcome to the new Damn Yankees website! With the exception of "The Neanderthal", we can use this site for contact information, schedules, links, pictures of Duncan's cup falling out, you name it. We might even be able to get Kevin to send us an email when he's not going to make the game because he's...uh...you know, like doing things that the married guys don't do any more. For right now, most of the pages are still in the works. If any of you have any pictures or other information you want to see here, send it to me. Later we'll have a team picture and individual bios. Smile! Say "Fletch"!
Thanks to Dale for having a New Year's Eve Party and to Billy for having a Super Bowl party!
In the meantime, check this video out. Listen how Georges wishes the guy "Good Luck." Drop 'em!
